Mexico took the lead in the first half when Hirving Lozano scored a goal in the 30th minute. Mexico extended its lead in the second half when Raul Jimenez scored a goal in the 60th minute.
Brazil had several chances to score, but they were unable to convert their opportunities. Neymar, Brazil's star player, had a few good chances to score, but he was unable to find the back of the net.
