Colombia Defeats Uruguay in Semi-Finals

Colombia has advanced to the Copa América final following a 1-0 win over Uruguay at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Colombia, which last reached the Copa América final in 2001, will face Argentina in the championship game on Sunday in New Jersey.

Jefferson Lerma scored the winning goal for Colombia in the 74th minute. Lerma's goal came after a controversial handball call against Uruguay.

Despite playing with 10 men for the final 15 minutes of the match, Colombia held on to the victory and will now have a chance to win its first Copa América title since 2001.

Uruguay was the defending Copa América champion, but they were unable to overcome Colombia's resilient defense.

Colombia's victory is a major upset, as Uruguay was the favorite to win the tournament.

Colombia will now face Argentina in the final, which will be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.
