Origins of the A110
The Alpine A110 is a sports car produced by French automobile manufacturer Alpine from 1963 to 1977. The car was designed by Jean Rédélé and was based on the Renault 8 Gordini. The A110 was a successful rally car, winning the Rallye Monte Carlo in 1971 and 1973.
The Rebirth of the A110
In 2017, Alpine revived the A110 nameplate with the introduction of a new sports car. The new A110 is a two-seater, mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive sports car. It is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 252 horsepower.
The new A110 has been praised for its handling, performance, and design. It has won numerous awards, including the 2019 World Car of the Year award.
